American rock band Foo Fighters announced Wednesday the release of “But Here We Are,” the group’s first album since the sudden death of drummer Taylor Hawkins last March.
Sony Music, the group’s record company, described the new work, which will be released on June 2, as a “brutally honest and emotionally raw” response to the loss the group’s members have experienced over the past year.
“Proof of healing powers music, musicthe friendship and family. Brave, damaged and unflinchingly authentic,” the company’s statement concludes.
