The Biomuseo will be the place where the public will gather to celebrate the 2023 March for Science.
It’s an initiative globally which seeks to highlight the importance of science in everyday life.
This year the main topic is “Sustainability and science”which is of great importance considering the climate emergency scenario that the world is going through.
March for Science 2023 It is a free event open to the public that will take place on Sunday, April 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
As in previous editions, March for Science 2023 It will have, among other things, interactive stands, conversation cycles, outdoor activities, workshops, space for entrepreneurs, exhibitions.
Dr. Ivonne Torres, President Science Foundation in Panamasaid: “Now more than ever, it is important for the scientific community to get to know each other, collaborate and work so that evidence is taken into account and decisions are made to enable life in a country with greater opportunities, more sustainable and less inequality. It is time for the voice of science to be heard.
Those interested in participating are encouraged to wear red T-shirts, use sunscreen, bring cloth bags and hydrate using reusable bottles.
For the sixth year in a row, Biomuseum it will be the meeting place for this important and necessary demonstration in defense of science”, said Víctor Cucalón Imbert, executive director of the Biomuseo.
He added: “We hereby reinforce our commitment to promoting science education and protecting biodiversity.”
