Elvis Crespo celebrates 25 years of ‘Suavemente’

Singer Elvis Crespo conquered the public of his native Puerto Rico, seduced by the artist’s most famous songs, at the first concert of his world tour marking the twenty-fifth anniversary of his hit “Suavemente”.

It was in Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan where Crespo presented his tour and performed his biggest hits like “Píntame”, “Tu sonrisa” and “Luna llena”, in a show produced by Paco López (No Limit Entertainment) and Maribel Vega (Flash Music).

Dressed in dark glasses, long green hair and white shirts, Crespo entered the stage and the concert began with its theme “Night”.

“Gentlemen, what do you think about my green hair? I’m tired of being compared to Rosalia, now I want you to compare me to Karol G,” the world-famous artist joked about his colorful hair in front of a packed coliseum.

– Thank you, you make me very happy to be here – continued the singer who made the audience dance to the rhythm of merengue and salsa.

Crespo also performed a song that he released in September, a merengue version of Bad Bunny’s “Neverita” that recreated the video for “Suavemente” when he introduced it, capturing the attention of thousands of followers.

Crespo, accompanied by musicians such as Norbert Vélez and Manny Cruz, ended the presentation with “Suavemente”.

“Suavemente” is part of popular music history as it was the first tropical song to enter Billboard magazine’s “Hot Latin Songs” list in 1998.

In addition, it is the title of Elvis Crespo’s first solo production, for which he received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Tropical Latin Album.
