The adventure continues: the animated series Stranger Things has been announced

Netflix has announced that it will produce an animated series ‘Stranger Things’.

Almost all details about the series are kept under wraps apart from the fact that it was developed by Eric Robles. Robles previously created the animated series “Random! Cartoons», «Fanboy & Chum Chum» and «Glitch Techs». “Stranger Things” creators Matt and Ross Duffer are also known to be involved – as executive producers.

“We’ve always dreamed of an animated Stranger Things, in the vein of the cartoons we grew up watching, and the realization of that dream is absolutely thrilling,” the Duffer brothers said in a statement. “The scripts and visuals are incredible and we can’t wait to share more with you! The adventure continues…»

It’s not the first “Stranger Things” spin-off Netflix has announced. In 2022, they announced plans for a live-action spin-off and a theatrical performance. No details have been announced about the live-action spin-off, though the Duffer brothers have previously said it won’t focus on characters like Eleven or Steve Harrington. In March 2023, it was announced that the theatrical performance would take place at Hawkins in 1959 and would premiere in London’s West End.
