Panamanians, at the book fair in Monaco

Panama will be present at the Book Fair in Monaco, in the eleventh version of this fair manifestation in the Principality of Monegasque.

Writers Edilberto Gonzalez Trejos and Monica Miguel Franco will travel representing Fiat Lux editions and NONIA Publishers.

Participation Panamanians in this event will be held on April 15 and 16.

They will sample the books they have published, including their latest poems, “Saturn’s Disciple” and “Ferox Lux Fierce Light”.

While González Trejos will recount Panamanian literatureplacing an emphasis on the narrative in the last century and a half, Miguel Franco will point out the history of the “noir” genre in the prose and poetry of Panama in the republican period.

As a sample of a Panamanian short story contemporary anthology will be presented cured and edited by both authors, Stories from Panamapublished by Zaragoza University Press, which includes more than 30 Panamanian authors born between 1932 and 1993.

The latest novel by Osvaldo Reyes will also be discussed. “The Machiavelli Experiment”published by NONIA Editores.

Ambassador from Panama v. Republic of France and concurrent ambassador to Principality of MonacoHer. Issamary Sánchez, will be present as the institutional representative of the invited country.

There will also be the president of AMLA (Latin American Association of Monaco), Daniel Spanierhost of Spanish-speaking writers invited to the Monegasque Book Fair.

The authors were invited by Board organizer of the Hall A book from Monaco.
