The biggest art exhibition in the city

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC Panama) celebrates, because it celebrates its first 60 years, through which it has developed, becoming a meeting place and a bridge between the plurality of communities that visit it.

This celebration is the perfect opportunity to connect and influence many more people.

As part of his campaign, he created the “One Meter Art” initiative, the most extensive art exhibition in the city, which became a reality thanks to the support of Panama Metro and High Traffic Media.

The exhibition consists of 27 works in 13 stations along the 16 kilometers of Line 1 of the Panama Metro, where users will be able to appreciate pieces from the MAC Panama collection.

You can see the works of artists: Julio Zachrisson, Coqui Calderón, Giana de Dier, Sandra Eleta, Lucio Kansuet, Oswaldo de León Kantule, Haydeé Suescum, Matías Costa, Adriana Lewis de Vallarino, Octavio Toral, Graciela Iturbide, Ramón Guardia, Mario Calvit, Raúl Vásquez, Roberto Fabelo, Ciro Oduber, Jorge March, Pablo Runyan, Luitgardo Broce, Gustavo Araújo, Roberto Vergara, Jorge Castrellón, Amalia Tapia and Trixie Briceño.

“Art by the meter” will be available until April 30.

With the support of the QR code, users will be able to discover the route and the exhibited works that represent the country’s heritage.

The democratization of art is a value of the Museum that comes to life through its various programs and initiatives like this one, with which more than 700,000 unique users who use the Panama Metro will have a positive impact.

The initiative “Art at one meter” also contributes to MetroCulture, a strategy by which the Panamanian metro seeks to build spaces for cultural expression as a contribution to the culture of the system and the city, which is the added value that the company provides to its users and communities, through various cultural and artistic expressions, contributing to the construction of a more adequate of the city.
