Amazon Studios and Netflix eventually battled for the rights to Aaron Jayh’s unpublished short story The Dwelling, after several other Hollywood studios were previously in the running. Ultimately, Amazon was awarded the contract and is now working with Outlier Society, the company of “Creed” star Michael B. Jordan, to implement it. Jordan will also produce himself. He should also be interested in the lead role.
This is a former football player who has just been divorced and has to process his retirement. But then he discovers that there is a house buried in the garden of his estate. But there’s a twist to the supposed mystery story: Because he’s had to take so many headshots during his long career, he’s in poor health. And so the question is whether the strange happenings that are about to ramp up are actually happening or are just imagination due to his head injury.
