Does the Berlin techno club from “John Wick 4” really exist?

In John Wick: Chapter 4, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) battles German crime boss Killa (Scott Adkins in a fat suit) at a techno club. Anyone who knows Berlin a little knows immediately that “heaven and hell” cannot exist here. Finally, we accompany Wick on his way to the shop on Berlin’s Museum Island, where the club should be located. And as beautiful as it is and there is so much to discover there, illustrious techno shops with a waterfall in the basement are not part of it. But the person wearing Wick is a clear allusion to the fact that there is at least one real role model.

The cult Berliner Sven Marquardt can be seen as Klaus simply saying “I’m Klaus” – and he became known as the merciless bouncer of the famous techno club Berghain. And this really was the template for “Heaven and Hell”, as director Chad Stahelski personally confirmed to us in an interview: “Shooting our club scene was really cool. We built our own version of the Berghain for it!”

John Wick: Chapter 4‘ is currently playing in German cinemas.
