Mayor Samid Sandoval’s book will appear in the cinema

Indian Latin American actor and film producer Prabhakar Sharan has indicated that the book “Heroicas al Indómito Urracá” by the poet, writer and mayor of Veragüense Samid Sandoval, is in the plans of Bollywood to be turned into a film.

Sharan pointed out that the work that “collects bravery and courage about that cacique and extraordinary indigenous warrior Urracá, is a great story that is worth universalizing through cinema”.

“In the cinema, we will project the story of a hero who fought and shed his blood for his people and today his memory remains hidden in the heart of every Panamanian,” said the Indian director and businessman.

“Heroes to the indomitable Urracá”it is a work written by Sandoval in a true octave or epic, which in its essence collects historical information about 150 caciques who, together with native warriors, opposed the Spanish colonizers in the age of conquest.

“We have already started the procedures to obtain it Sandoval writer’s license and authorization to adapt his beautiful work to the big screen with the label Bollywood which I am sure will be an excellent cinematic production,” noted Prabhakar Sharan.

For his part, a writer Veraguensehe expressed his joy at this news, thanking that such a big production house like Bollywood takes care of his work.

This work has been awarded several times, and one of them was in 2011, when it was recognized in Sonora, Mexico.
