Confirmed: A fan favorite is making a comeback in the new episode “The Mandalorian”.

When Nevarro is attacked by pirates at the beginning of the new episode “The Mandalorian”, Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) turns to the New Republic for help – especially to the well-known Captain Carson Teva (“Kim’s Convenience” – Star Paul). Sun-Hyung Lee) seen earlier in this series and in The Book of Boba Fett. Before the episode uses this to once again underline how the New Republic is failing to rebuild due to its bureaucracy and lack of foresight (with comedian Tim Meadows as the uncommitted boss), Carson gets the news in a pilot’s bar.

There are also plenty of other famous characters. We see Jib Dodger and Sash Ketter, who were already present in the series, from “Star Wars” directors Rick Famuyiwa (already directed 4 episodes of “The Mandalorian”) and Deborah Chow (already 2 episodes plus all episodes embodied by Obi-Wan Kenobi). But what is interesting is the Lasat, with whom Teva has a short chat and who regrets that Nevarro probably failed to remain independent. Then it’s not just any lasat.

Star Wars Rebels’ Zeb makes live-action debut

Since there is hardly any Lasat left anyway, as they almost all died in the destruction of their home planet, many “Star Wars” fans should immediately think of the fan favorite Zeb from the “Star Wars Rebels” series. And isn’t the voice the same? Yes, both in the original version and in the German dub, the character is voiced by the original Zeb voice talent – von Steve Blum or. Oliver Siebeck!

And the credits finally confirm it. The Lasat is really Zeb. So now The Mandalorian tells us that the giant with the big heart is part of the New Republic. And while Zeb was once primarily a hand-to-hand combatant, the pilot training has paid off. He now seems to fly – a nice continuation of the story that he discovers a surprising talent for it in “Star Wars Rebels”.

With Zeb only playing a small role in The Mandalorian Season 3’s fifth episode, fans should definitely be hoping for more from him. Who knows? Perhaps Carson Teva will enlist his colleague’s help in his investigations, which will surely follow from the end? We shall see. The next episode of “The Mandalorian‘ arrives April 5, 2023 Disney+.
