Only a short time left on Amazon Prime Video: stream brutal action soon with Gerard Butler, Scott Adkins & Co

Fans of solid action are currently served in the cinema with “John Wick 4”, in which Keanu Reeves once again shakes up the underworld as the assassin of the same name. But if you like rough, rough, old-fashioned action cinema, you can of course experience it from the couch: for example on Amazon Prime Video.

On the streaming platform, you can currently watch audience favorites like Gerard Butler or Scott Adkins as they slaughter their opponents in various ways – but beware, in some cases you only have a few days to witness their banging and shooting orgies to stream with your Prime subscription at no extra cost. We’ll tell you which movies are only available for a few days:

Olympus has fallen“ (available until April 1): That Gerard Butler is currently one of the most popular action stars is partly due to the first part of the agent action series initiated by ‘Equalizer’ creator Antoine Fuqua. The brutal counterpart to White House Down, released the same year, is a gritty, grippingly staged B-Actioner that inspires genre fans despite B-Note deductions.

London has fallen“ (available until April 1): The (first) sequel to the Butler cracker takes over the basic recipe of its predecessor, but with small changes here and there it gives it new impetus – and in the end it is even the better film.

Difficult target 2“ (available until April 1): For the author of this article, “Hard Target” or “Hard Target” by John Woo is one of the best action movies ever. Part 2 can’t quite keep up and, apart from the title, has absolutely nothing in common with the Van Damme classic – it still offers brutal hit-and-run cinema. And it’s no wonder, because martial arts ace Scott Adkins (“John Wick 4”) took the lead role!

Suicide Squad“ (available until April 3): Director David Ayer’s anti-hero fun (“Street Kings”) failed mostly because of expectations fueled by the incredibly cool and stylish trailer. The star ensemble around Margot Robbie and Will Smith is certainly in a good mood, but the better film is clearly James Gunn’s 2021 “The Suicide Squad” – which is also currently available as a subscription to Prime Video.

skylines“ (available until April 2): Those who prefer to combine their action with aliens, starships and intergalactic wars should get their money’s worth with “Skylines”. Here, among others, “Matrix” and “John Wick” star Daniel Bernhardt and Yayan Ruhian (“The Raid 1+2”) let it go. But beware, it makes sense to have seen the two predecessors “Skyline” and “Beyond Skyline” in advance.

A duke seldom comes alone(Available until April 4): And for those who prefer to enjoy their action with a pinch of humor, there’s still the “Dukes Of Hazzard” remake in Prime subscription – with “American Pie” star Seann William Scott and “Jackass” icon Johnny Knoxville as the ultimate chaotic duo.

The realm of the wolves(Available until April 4): Things get darker in this action thriller from “Kiss Of The Dragon” creator Chris Nahon. You can expect great visual ideas and great acting from Jean Reno.

While individual titles will disappear from the Prime Video range, there will of course be a lot of new content coming to the platform in the coming month. Among others, you can look forward to the haunting, dizzying thriller “Fall – Fear Reaches New Heights” (out April 1), the fourth season of the comedy hit “LOL – Last One Laughing” (out April 6), M. Night Shyamalans mystery film Old (releases April 9) and the Suicide Squad spin-off Birds Of Prey (releases April 12).
