With her portrayal of the Cercei Lannister, Lena Headey not only became known to the general public, but also created one of the most iconic characters of the series of the recent past. In recent years, however, Headey can only be heard in series (for example, in “Masters Of The Universe – Revelation”, “The Dark Crystal: Era Of Resistance” or “Trollhunters”) and has also appeared in films such as “Gunpowder Milshake”. or “Fighting with my family”.
As has since been announced, Lena Headey’s return to the series is now also in front of the camera. How etc has been reported the actress starred in the Netflix series “The Abandoned” take over. This is the heart project of the creators of “Sons Of Anarchy”. Kurt Sutter. The streaming service with the big red N gave the format the green light last fall.
This is The Abandons on Netflix
Set in the Wild West, the series revolves around a group of outlaw families. Headey plays the matriarch Fiona, one of the main characters of the event. She is said to be a strong, pious woman who cannot bear children of her own and has therefore taken in four orphans to start her own family. Driven by a higher purpose – and a strong Irish temper – their faith and love can defy expectations.
In addition, The Abandons explores the quest for power in Oregon in the 1850s. The outlaw families who live like lost souls on the fringes of society try to form a community to fight back. Justice, of course, extends beyond the boundaries of the law. So it’s very “classic” Western stuff about law, property, and revenge that Kurt Sutter is going to cover here.
It is not yet known when the western series will appear. The Abandons will have a total of ten episodes.
