After the previous seasons of “LOL: Last One Laughing” appeared six months apart, fans of Amazon’s hit show had to wait twice as long for the new season. A year after the third season, it’s almost time: The fourth “LOL” season begins April 6, 2023 on Amazon Prime Video and will again consist of six episodes, each appearing weekly in a double pack on the streaming service.
Once again ten celebrities are locked in a room for six hours and they have to make each other laugh under the watchful eye of referee Michael Bully Herbig without laughing themselves. Whoever succeeds best will receive a prize money of 50,000 euros for charity. Next season Joko Winterscheidt, who probably plays the most prominent role in the first trailer of the new episodes – and that’s no coincidence – will also be part of the field, which again consists of “LOL” newcomers and veterans.
The moderator, who was supposed to be there in season 3, but was replaced at short notice by Olaf Schubert due to a corona illness, is known for being quick to burst into his signature laugh, as he himself mentions in the preview. On the other hand, thanks to his ProSieben shows, he already has a lot of practice when it comes to non-smiling matches and could potentially surprise all skeptics (and himself).

- Martin Hill: Stage and TV comedian
- Hazel Brugger: Stage and TV comedian
Martina Hill and Hazel Brugger are there for the second time, Max Giermann and Kurt Krömer even for the third time. In terms of participation, the two old hands are on a par with Anke Engelke, who is now absent for the first time in season 4 after her victory in season 3.
