Good and bad news currently go hand in hand in the case of the NBC series The Blacklist. Fans can look forward to 22 new episodes that the tenth season will bring, but at the same time the crime series will be told to the end. After ten seasons, The Blacklist is over. However, the series has not been discontinued, but will (hopefully) be completed completely, so that no questions remain unanswered.
Like all other seasons of The Blacklist, the latter will also be available on Netflix. However, we will have to be patient for quite some time before that happens. As is known, the new episodes only reach the streamer when the season on American broadcaster NBC has completely ended and then a month later. Since the season 10 finale (with 22 episodes) may not air until July 2023, Netflix should not have the latest episodes on its schedule until August (depending on NBC’s frequency).
Amazon instead of Netflix: Here are the new “Blacklist” episodes
If you don’t want to wait so long for the tenth season of “The Blacklist”, you can now find it on Amazon Prime Video and other VoD providers. The offer is “only” about purchasing VoDs, but even with German dubbing! Three episodes are currently available (four have aired so far).
It has long been clear that “The Blacklist” will stop after the tenth season. After Season 8, co-showrunner Jon Bokenkamp and lead actress Megan Boone parted ways. At the end of Season 9, the character Aram Mojtabai (Amir Arison) also left the FBI. The IT specialist needs a break from chasing criminals – don’t they?
So it continues in the 10th season of “The Blacklist”.
Warning, spoilers!
The tenth season kicks off with an explosive surprise – in the truest sense of the word. Aram Mojtabai is back and survives a bomb explosion that he links to FBI whistleblower Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader). And that’s exactly what the new episodes will be about.
Mojtabai and his friends must find out why Red is back on the scene and planting bombs. In the end, it’s a matter of life and death for everyone involved and it soon becomes clear that many people are interested in taking Red down for good…
