
Than the new episode ofThe Mandalorian“ has record length – or rather, record shortness. Disney+ gives it a running time of 33 minutes, the correct running time including the full credits (including dubbing boards) is only 32 minutes and 21 seconds. The credits themselves (where many probably drop off and then miss the great concept art at the end of each episode) start at 27 minutes and 40 seconds. This is all including the summary at the beginning, which some of you may also skip. So in about 27 minutes you will be through this week.
The shortest episode to date was Chapter 2 with a total running time of 33 minutes and 42 seconds. The credits started here at 28 minutes and 9 seconds. By the way, this episode was called “The Child” – an interesting parallel to the new episode titled “The Foundling”.
Episode 2 already proved then that shorter does not have to be worse at all. Of course, at this point we don’t want to reveal how the new episode ends – so only a small teaser is allowed: there’s the surprise return of a “Star Wars” actor who previously embodied an extremely despised character…
