After Oscar triumph with “Everything Everywhere All At Once”: The Daniels are now doing “Star Wars”

The Oscar night was a great success for Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. For Everything Everywhere All at Once, the directors known as The Daniels took home three golden boys in the Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Director categories — and those are just the awards that directly affect the Daniels. In total there were even seven awards, in short: “Everything Everywhere” won amply and certainly surprised some viewers in front of the television screens.

As for The Daniels, there is now another surprise that should make Star Wars fans especially happy. How One Take news has discovered, the two Oscar winners Kwan and Scheinert will appear in at least one episode of “Star Wars: Skeleton CrewStraight away! Whether the two really only sat in the director’s chair for one episode is not certain. There may well be more going on.

This is Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

The shooting of “Skeleton Crew” started in the summer of 2022 and was completed a few months ago. Not much more is known about the series so far. It is foreseeable that this will not change until the Star Wars Celebration over Easter in London, where we will be at the start and there will be a lot of news.

What is certain, however, is that Jon Watts (director of the “Spider-Man” trilogy starring Tom Holland) will play Jude Law and that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will produce (“The Mandalorian”). And what is Skeleton Crew about?

Details are not yet known, but it is likely that the focus of the story will be a group of children who are lost in the vastness of the galaxy and cannot find their way home. The series is anchored in the New Republic era – so crossovers with “The Mandalorian” and Co. are possible.

Disney+ has not yet announced the launch date for Skeleton Crew.
