After Oscar success: “Everything Everywhere All At Once” sets a sensational record in the German cinema charts

Forecasts this weekend for “Everything everywhere at once“ about 25,000 movie tickets sold. That’s allowed – especially when compared to the results of the frontrunners “Sun and Concrete” (150,000 – 170,000), “Creed III – Rocky’s Legacy” (100,000 – 125,000)” and “Shazam! 2” (80,000 – 100,000) – at first glance this may not seem like an extraordinary number, but it is actually a sensational value!

Because “Everything Everywhere All At Once” has been in theaters since April 28, 2022 and has been open for a long time Blu ray*, 4K Blu ray*, DVD* and in a streaming subscription* available and once started with almost 13,000 cinema tickets sold in the first weekend. Most movie tickets to date had sold close to 14,000 by the end of May 2022 on the film’s fifth weekend. Since then, the weird multiverse film with Michelle Yeoh has been playing in German cinemas, but sometimes less than ten copies. It is anything but self-evident that a film stays on the big screen for so long. The fact that after almost a year he can almost double his own record of cinema visits in one weekend is sensational.

The German distributors were of course prepared for the interest. “Everything Everywhere All At Once” will be shown in more than 250 cinemas this weekend – the highest number of copies sold in a weekend for the film was around 150. The second big Oscar success, the German anti-war film “nothing new in the westIncidentally, Netflix can be seen again this weekend in more than 200 cinemas, in case you miss it and would rather watch it on the big screen than the small TV. Visitor numbers are not known for this. Netflix usually does not report these for its own productions.

Of course there is also home cinema interest in ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ and ‘Nothing New in the West’, which, in addition to Netflix, is also available as Limited Collector’s Edition in Mediabook on UHD Blu-ray* increased enormously there. The current DVD and Blu-ray sales charts from the online mail-order company Amazon show this very well: the Blu-ray of “Everything Everywhere All At Once” is number one there, the media book for “Nothing new in the West” at the third rank. With “Everything Everywhere All At Once” you even have to wait several days for the delivery of Blu-ray and DVD due to high demand if you order them from Amazon.
