Superlative anime cult new in the home theater: more than 50 (!!) hours of action with ninjas, samurai and monsters in one fell swoop

It’s a well-known torment: if you want to have Japanese animated series and animated films on your shelves, you have to dig deep into your pockets. Because the local home cinema labels usually charge much higher prices for anime titles than you are used to from the film and series market. It’s always worth keeping an eye out for anime discounts like Amazon’s Anime Bargain Event, which ends today.

But after all, many anime series are not just expensive in a set for no reason, but often presented very lovingly and extensively, which justifies the price a bit. A good example of this comes this week: On March 16, 2023, the second Collector’s Edition of “Naruto Shippudenwhich celebrates the series’ 15th anniversary and pays homage to one of the most successful anime franchises of all time.

The set includes Naruto Shippuden seasons 12 through 17 on Blu-ray. That means: 130 episodes of spectacular anime action with ninjas, samurai and a running time of 50 hours!

For even more Naruto Shippuden, you can also keep going the first collector’s edition* sequence, which includes seasons one through eleven. The third and final Collector’s Edition*which covers seasons 18 through 26 is available for pre-order now and will be released on May 25 this year.

While the three Collector’s Editions may seem like a hefty price tag, they’re still a bargain compared to the usual cost of anime season sets:

Blu-ray sets containing half a season of Naruto Shippuden each usually cost more than $60. Even during anime prize events, more than 50 euros are usually requested. And unlike the Collector’s Editions, these don’t contain any goodies. And the complete box of “Elfen Lied” still costs 50 euros as part of the current offer. For only 13 episodes.

The Collector’s Edition II, on the other hand, includes 18 discs, a bound artbook, a keychain, two panorama posters, storyboards from the hit series, and much more.

And if you’re flirting with sprucing up your home theater, given the hours of anime action you’re taking home with this set, Amazon is currently offering deep discounts on one of its best and most popular Ambilight TVs.

Not only is what’s happening on your screen colorful, the colorful vibe is then also transferred to your living room (or bedroom, or wherever you pursue your anime desire)…
