This week we asked our users what their favorite movie is. Nearly 500 wrote their favorite in the comment column. Significantly more readers submitted their favorite comics via a form. We evaluated this result.
The data was first cleaned up and merged. Among other things, we were able to remove 500 “Mad Heidi” entries from the same user, leaving 2200 entries. After that, English and German titles were merged, as were sequels or trilogies. Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings count as “one film”, with the Star Wars films we distinguish between trilogies (original and prequel trilogy etc.) and separate films (Rouge One etc.).
738 films remained, of which nearly 500 were only mentioned once and another 100 were mentioned twice. They ended up in the word cloud below 142 movieselected at least three times:
