A wild time-travel adventure, gruesome zombies, sci-fi action and gaudy comedy with quirky characters – all in one package: the sci-fi movie “Visitor From The Future” is a confident genre mishmash that combines set pieces from “Terminator” with the “anything goes, nothing has to” attitude of the cult series “Doctor Who.” In France, the comedy, which started there last August, was a remarkable success at the box office, and now it’s finally coming to Germany:
“Visitor From The Future” will be released on April 21, 2023 as a German home theater premiere, e.g. as a limited media book with the film on both 4K disc and Blu-ray.
In addition to the media book, which also includes an informative booklet about how “Visitor From The Future” came about, regular editions will appear DVD* And Blu ray*.
Good to know: You can also get “Visitor From The Future” directly from the responsible distributor Capelight DVD*, Blu ray* or inside 4K Media Book* order. Capelight’s own store has an attractive loyalty program that allows you to save on repeat orders.
“Visitor From The Future”: Nuclear disaster, zombies and mayhem in time travel
The year 2555: A nuclear catastrophe destroyed civilization as we know it. Now a cloud of nuclear radiation threatens to turn the few remaining humans into nuclear zombies! There’s only one hope: The Visitor (Florent Dorin), a man who can travel through time.
He goes back in time to find young Alice (Enya Baroux). Through her he wants to get to her father (Arnaud Ducret), who built the nuclear power plant responsible for the apocalypse. But during his journey through time, the visitor is chased by the members of the strict time guard brigade. Your job is to prevent any change over time, no matter how benign…
The international press is almost unanimous: although the cinema version of the French web series “Le Visiteur Du Futur” with a small budget of around four million euros it doesn’t have to hide from the Hollywood competition.

The series is written by Francois Descraques, who also directed and wrote the screenplay for the movie version of the story. However, he took as inspiration a novel by Slimane-Baptiste Berhoun, who played the supporting role of Dr. Henry took over and also helped write a remake of Dangerous Liaisons in 2022.
Berhoun also starred in the web series along with many of the film’s cast members, and several French YouTubers make cameos. However, the apocalyptic time travel adventure is designed to be open to anyone unfamiliar with the internet stars.
