March 1 is just around the corner, so it’s high time to look ahead to what the current streaming providers will bring us in the coming weeks in terms of new films and series. After Netflix and Disney+ have already published their preview lists, Amazon is now following suit and has now announced which fresh titles will be streamable in the Prime subscription at no extra cost in the month starting tomorrow.
When it comes to its own productions, the online group this time focuses mainly on series – from the extended German Reeperbahn portrait “Luden” to the musical drama series “Daisy Jones & The Six” and the 1970s band of the same name to slightly different superhero series “The Gift”, in which young women suddenly develop extraordinary powers.
In the movie sector, Amazon has once again licensed content from other studios – securing a slew of highlights in the process. With Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi masterpiece “Dune” and the equally merciless and mercilessly entertaining revenge drama “Promising Young Woman”, even the two best movies of 2021 for us will soon be included on Amazon Prime Video. And as for sci-fi, you can still look forward to Tim Burton’s iconic genre tribute “Mars Attacks!”
Meanwhile, slasher fans will get their money’s worth with the bloody body swap fun “Freaky”, while western fans can expect a real gem with the director’s cut of Sam Peckinpah’s legendary bullet ballet “The Wild Bunch”.
