Daniela Arroyo, the first trans at Miss Universe Puerto Rico

Daniela Arroyo González has become the first transgender woman to compete for the crown of Miss Universe Puerto Rico, the organization in charge of the local beauty pageant announced.

She longs to live in a less polarized society, where differences can be appreciated and embraced as something positive that unites instead of something that divides.” “
