You can volunteer at these festivals (and keep the ticket)

Festival tickets are quite expensive. If you can’t afford one or don’t want to, there is a way to get involved. And no, we do not recommend climbing over the fence.

Just because you’re broke doesn’t mean you have to miss out on festivals this summer. Even without professional qualifications, you can help on many occasions – whether handing out wristbands, security checks or setting up and breaking down. We’ve collected everything for you because we are super nice so you don’t have to.

Zermatt unplugged merchant concerts

Date: April 11-15, 2023

Zermatt Unplugged is looking for volunteers who, for example Construction and dismantling, at access control, when changing wristbands or in the cloakroom staff. Anyone who helps can do so Watch free concertsgets per service a meal and a drink credit. Overnight stays in Zermatt or Täsch are also provided and there are Helper aperitif as well as other goodies.

The organizers do not mention any requirements.

Date: June 29 to July 2, 2023

To help at Openair St. Gallen you have to be at least 16 years old – for some jobs the minimum age is 18 years old. Your assignment takes between 18 and 24 hours, spread over all festival days. You will be reimbursed for one 4 day pass, food and a crew shirt. You also get access to the crew tent and the crew campsite.

Date: July 6-8, 2023

The Openair Frauenfeld is once again organizing its helpers for the admission check with the help of clubs this year. But don’t worry, you can easily register as garbage hero apply and help that to clear the festival site of the leftover waste. For about 16 hours of work you get one Free ticket and food is provided during your shift.

Date: August 22-26, 2023

The volunteer services start on the festival day and last until August 28 due to the finishing work. You work between 2 pm and 6 am – you are spread over two to three days for a total of about 18 to 22 hours. You have to volunteer at least 18 years old Be able to speak and understand German.

You get one as a reward 5-day pass, a meal voucher and a staff shirt. You camp in a separate area and during your shift you can drink as many free soft drinks as you want.

Date: June 8-10, 2023

Are on the green field traffic controllers asked to ensure that chaos does not break out in the parking lot. You make sure that the cars and mobile homes get to the right place. The condition for this is that you at least 18 years old are and one Driving license or knowledge of traffic rules to take.

You are on one of the festival days work between 8 and 10 am must and receive free food during your shift, you get one T-shirt and of course one 3-day pass for the festival.

Date: August 18 and 19, 2023

The Royal Arena is looking for the same for its festival in different categories of helpers. For example for construction and dismantling (note, you must be available on certain days), traffic and parking or cleaning. In principle, the minimum age is 16 years, in the catering section 18 years applies.

There is one depending on the task Pay, otherwise you just get a ticket for the festival, a shirt and food in return.

Impressions of the Open Air Lumnezia

Date: July 20-22, 2023

The Lumnezia also counts on volunteers for its organization. For this July it needs Helpers behind the bar, in the parking lot, when returning deposits and in the field of infrastructure. Basically the volunteers be at least 18 years old (exceptions are possible).

You will receive one as compensation 3-day pass, a shirt, a consumption creditaccess to the helper tent and a surprise goodie.

You can sign up as a volunteer here. Additional positions should be activated on February 13.

Date: August 9-20, 2023

The Winterthur Music Festival wouldn’t be what it is without 1,000 helpers. From cash register to gastronomy to artist support There are several departments you can sign up for.

In exchange for the work done, there is one T-shirt, various goodies, food and drinks, a volunteer festival and tickets for the main concerts of more than 20 hours.
