Liam Neeson rocks it again – this time in a prison break

In “The ghost of the RikerPlays Liam Neeson a prisoner who just wants to serve the last part of his sentence. But then he is forced to break out a terrorist.

The shooting of the prison escape thriller will begin in September 2023 for a release in 2024. At the Filmmarkt EFM, which takes place in Berlin next week, the rights for a cinema release or home cinema exploitation (for example as a streaming start) will be offered.

“The Riker’s Ghost” is staged with an Oscar winner Neil Jordan a very good acquaintance of Neeson. Because it’s far from their first collaboration. The Irish actor first appeared in front of the camera for his compatriot in the 1988 fantasy comedy “High Spirits – Die Geister sind willig”. This was followed by the title role in the historical drama “Michael Collins” and a supporting role in “Breakfast on Pluto”. Most recently, the duo shot the film noir “Marlowe”, which has already been screened at a number of festivals, but has not yet been released in Germany.
