Even though 1984’s “The Firestarter” isn’t cursed, fans of the Stephen King template have been wanting a new edit for several years that does more justice to the “Feuerkind” template. With “Firestarter” a new edition should start in German cinemas in 2022. And with director Keith Thomas (“The Vigil – Die Totenwache”) and superstar Zac Efron (“Greatest Showman”) in front of the camera, interest in the mysterious horror film could also be awakened.
