“The Bachelor,” “Love Island,” and “Too Hot To Handle”: The possibilities of making people look stupid on TV seem endless. And yet the producers of new programs always manage to embarrass the participants in front of the whole world. So too with the new show “Milf Manor”, which first aired on TLC last week.

For those not on Pornhub, the term “Milf” means something like “Mothers I’d like to F*ck”. The name already gives away the whole concept of the show: eight older mothers (50+) are on vacation in a luxury villa in Mexico and are looking for a younger man (20-30).

For many broadcasters, this concept would be unusual enough. Apparently that’s not enough for TLC. Therefore, the show was teased with a “big twist”. And the program didn’t promise much: The young men who got the “Milfs” to choose from are their own sons.

So the mothers have to get to know one of the young men while their son is also there and dating the other mothers. Mother and son each share a room and learn about each other’s nocturnal activities. This leads to scenes that leave you gaping in the mouth.

In the interview, Californian April sits next to her son Gabriel and says he doesn’t even know she has an extremely high libido. Another showgoer, Kelle – who describes herself as a “discomama” – complains that her son won’t let her in the room the first night so she can have sex with 24-year-old Ryan. Jimmy, Soyoung’s son, also explains in detail what he would like to do with Pola’s feet.

If you then think a little too far, you conclude that the performance offers the possibility that two men become each other’s stepfathers.

With the crazy concept, the show comes under fire. For example, in one scene, the sons stand topless in front of the eight mothers and each get to pick one for a date. Many viewers pointed out that such a scene should never be shown on television when it involves men and their daughters.

Probably the most criticized excerpt is the touch challenge. The mothers were blindfolded and they had the – still half-naked – sons touch and guess who her son is. One viewer then tweeted that the scene would “normalize incest,” while another commented, “This is the kinkiest show I’ve ever seen on TV.”
