Daredevil and the Kingpin were apparently just the beginning: with the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, Marvel pushed the door wide open and gave the myriad characters a chance for a comeback, which in the somehow it wasn’t. belong all the way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). And that could now also be opened a character fromAgents of SHIELDApply: Skye aka Daisy Johnson aka Quake (Chloe Bennett).
Do Quake and Agents Of SHIELD belong in the MCU?
“Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD” is just like “Daredevil”, “Jessica Jones” and Co. in the Marvel series created before “WandaVision” whose connection to the MCU movies is controversial to say the least. “Agents Of SHIELD” was initially very closely linked to the events of the movies (e.g. “The Avengers” and “The Return Of The First Avenger”)strayed more and more from those roots over the course of the seven seasons.
Overseen by Marvel mastermind Kevin Feige, the films largely ignored “Agents Of SHIELD”, though some fans have seen references to the events of the Marvel series here and there. The fact is: Whether it’s “Daredevil” or “Agents Of SHIELD” – these series have never been as central to the MCU as the new series (i.e. everything from “WandaVision” until “She Hulk“) and never will be.

But that doesn’t mean individual characters from these series can’t (re)be part of the Avengers universe – and that brings us back to Chloe Bennet and her character. Bennet may have revealed on Twitter that she could soon become part of the current MCU – whether again or correctly or finally or for the first time, let’s just leave it open at this point:
A little context: Chloe Bennet links to a post from Charles Murphy from the site here a. He has quite a reputation as a Marvel insider, but he’s not particularly enthusiastic about “Agents Of SHIELD” and therefore regularly argues with fans of the series on Twitter. Bennet has probably gotten wind of this by now and writes:
“Hey man, you seem like a… mean loser? I also strongly suspect that your tweets won’t age well.” With the Of course, Bennet is by no means confirming that she will return as Skye/Daisy Johnson/Quake, but it will certainly fuel the rumors and speculation that have already been circulating.
So Bennet’s return is not official yet, but it wouldn’t surprise us anymore. Let’s wait and see if and when there will be concrete information about this – and if maybe other Agents Of SHIELD will celebrate their comeback…
