Finally, the critically acclaimed anime Attack On Titan comes to an end. And we don’t say “finally” because we’re glad there won’t be any more episodes in the future. Because the last season about the fate of Eren Jäger and his companions is still narratively one of the best the animation industry has to offer at the moment (at least in the opinion of the author of these lines). On the contrary, the final season of the anime adaptation of Hajime Isayama’s manga has been dragging on for almost three years now!
In the winter of 2020, the first episodes of Attack On Titan: The Final Season were released. Since then, the season has been served to fans in small bites, which can only partially satisfy the hunger for the grand finale. And this aperitif release will not change in the future either: Like anime distribution announced that the third and final part of Attack on Titan season four will be split into two parts.
And there’s also a new trailer for the first half of the final episode pack, which you can watch in the original Japanese here:
How many episodes are left?
What follows sounds like a math word problem: Part 1 of the third part of the fourth season will be released in Japan on March 3, 2023 and should soon be available to stream in Germany via Crunchyroll. So it’s no wonder fans aren’t exactly happy with this confusing release policy.
mostly it is not yet clear how many episodes are coming now. Meanwhile already rumors everywhere, that the last two parts could not be several episodes, but each one too long. We’ll finally know if these rumors are true on March 3, when the first half of the really final part of the final season is released.
If you can’t wait any longer and want to know how the story of Eren Jäger ends, you can also take a look at Hajime Isayama’s original manga series. It is distributed in Germany by Carlsen Manga and is for sale on Amazon, among others:

And that’s what “Attack On Titan” is about
In “Attack On Titan”, giant titans rule the world and want to eat all humans. To live their lives in safety, the remaining humanity has holed up in fortresses, the only place that offers protection. But when the titans finally break through the fortress walls, the battle for survival begins again.
The battle seems hopeless, but for the young Eren Jäger (original voice: Yuuki Kaji / German version: Max Felder) it is the beginning of an adventurous odyssey. He joins the Scout Regiment – a group that has used advanced technology to declare war on the Titans. He wants to face the mighty adversaries and free humanity from the monsters.
