
With “Murder Mystery” Netflix scored a real hit in December 2019: more than 83 million subscribers* watched the crime comedy starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston in the first weeks after publication alone. So a sequel was only a matter of time – and should finally be officially confirmed in September 2021 (!). After that it was quite quiet around the project for a while, but now there is finally news.
Through Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler have announced that Murder Mystery 2 has wrapped up. But that’s not all, because in the course of this the first picture of the whodunit comedy has now appeared, showing not only the two stars of the film, but also the city in which Nick and Audrey Spitz are dealing with a criminal case this time must: Paris.

Coming to Netflix in Spring 2023
It is not yet known when exactly “Murder Mystery 2” will appear on Netflix, but it is known that the film will be in the March 2023 will start. In the sequel, Nick and Audrey are busy tracking down their friend Maharajah (Adeel Akhtar), who has been kidnapped from his own wedding. However, this will certainly also end in a murder case, which the two sleuths must then solve (after all, the title is still “Murder Mystery”).
Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston will not only be active in the city of love, but also in the Caribbean. And the injuries Sandler’s character Nick has in the first picture prove that things are going to be tough. The cast of “Murder Mystery 2” is completed by John Kani, Mark Strong, Kuhoo Verma, Melanie Laurent, Jodie Turner Smith and Dany Boon as Inspector de la Croix. Jeremy Garelick (“The Best Man Company”) directs, while James Vanderbilt (“Zodiac”) rewrote the screenplay.
