Does Onlyfans strengthen self-determination or is it a danger to women?

But is it really like that? We asked clinical sexologist and psychotherapist Dania Schiftan (41). She thinks Onlyfans can definitely have a feminist, positive component: “If a woman uploads content to Onlyfans in a self-determined way without focusing on men, I see it as an opportunity for diversity.”

But reality shows a different picture: diversity is small, the majority of female creators fulfill stereotypes and reproduce an outdated, sexualized image of a woman with a certain look and designed for heterosexual men as clients.

Many are unaware of the scope

Additionally, expert Schiftan says Onlyfans has other dangerous effects that many young people underestimate. Teachers, parents or boss can see pictures and videos. That’s why you have to ask yourself if you really want your own body to appear on the internet. Uploading sexual content on Onlyfans should be considered well and should not be done as a joke or dare. Schiftan also warns against the temptation to make quick money.

Schiftan also criticizes the lack of security for minors: “It’s unclear to what extent inspections are carried out here, and the dangers this poses.” It’s also important that consumers can’t see where the creator lives or where he saved the images.
