You should pay attention to this when shooting.

Even experienced men turn into little sparkly boys when they “hit” and “shoot” from all the fireworks and rockets. But when it comes to “fireworks,” the shot can backfire quickly. Shattered hands, vision loss, burns are just some of the tragic consequences of such accidents. It will be enough to follow a few simple safety precautions to guarantee a fun, accident-free fireworks display.

The most important rules for fireworks

  1. Only use fireworks that are in perfect condition and undamaged.
  2. Rockets can only be launched from tightly fixed bottles and tubes.
  3. If a rocket or firework cannot be fired, you must wait at least five minutes before approaching the explosive. If you want to be safe, pour water over the fireworks. Under no circumstances should the ashes be re-ignited! No matter how expensive they are, they must be destroyed immediately.
  4. Never let your children set fireworks unattended. And: Fireworks are not in the hands of small children!
  5. Smoking is prohibited near fireworks.
  6. ALWAYS read the operating instructions and observe the specified safety distances from people, animals and buildings! On some rockets the distance can be up to 200 meters!
  7. Close doors, windows and skylights to protect your own home from strays.
  8. If possible, keep the car safely in the garage or park away from the hustle and bustle of the festival.
  9. But even those who do everything right themselves can suffer – because someone else is less wise and thoughtful. So, for your own safety: Watch what others are doing.
  10. Cats, dogs, and other (pets) animals don’t find fireworks as wonderful as their masters or mistresses. As such, it gives four-legged friends access to a quiet space where they can feel safe. Pull the curtains there or lower the blinds.

And remember: caress and persuasion also have a calming effect. (gsc)
