Comic book fans have been longing for it for a long time: Charlie Cox has finally arrived in the MCU as Matt Murdock from the (former) Netflix series “Daredevil”. “Daredevil: Born Again” is scheduled for release in early 2024 and will likely be the most ambitious Marvel project on Disney+ to date. The recordings of the new Marvel series should take no less than 11 months (!).
But there is a reason for the long recording time. If the previous Disney Plus MCU series had 6 to a maximum of 9 episodes per season, this number will be doubled for the first season of the new Daredevil rebirth! The diabolical superhero gets a total of 18 episodes. That’s twice as many episodes as WandaVision, What If…? and She-Hulk: The Lawyer from previous Disney+ series.
Why 18 episodes?
Actor Charlie Cox also appeared in an interview with the Somewhat surprised by the excessive number of episodes and the associated longer shooting times: “They said to me, ‘We’re going to shoot in 2023.’ I said, ‘Great, when?’ They said, ‘All of 2023.’ I’ll start shooting in February and finish in December.”
