What is the best Swiss ski area for leisure and fun?

Switzerland’s most beautiful winter destinations are honored this season by Blick and Switzerland Tourism. Each Swiss ski region can register for a maximum of two of the six total categories for the Blick Winter Awards. Vote and decide who will receive the coveted Blick Winter Awards this year.

We are looking for a ski area in the “leisure and leisure” category that offers a wide range of off-piste leisure activities. These include, for example, tobogganing, lodge stays, ice skating, an entertainment program or after-ski parties.

Champex-Lac offers seven kilometers of beautiful, kid-friendly toboggan run. The site also offers a small lakeside slope for learning to ski, as well as a free natural ice rink on the frozen lake and, even more original, a visit to an artillery fort that was in use until 1998.

Charmey is an ideal place to practice all kinds of winter activities as well as ski and snowboard slopes. Tobogganing, snow tubing, winter parks with eight activities, ski tours, trekking, cross-country skiing and paragliding. All winter sports enthusiasts will be able to find the right activity and have an active day.

Jatzütte, Bolgen Plaza, Ex-Bar, Pöstli: There is no more post-ski in Switzerland. If you prefer something more relaxed, you can skate around (Ice Dream Davos: Switzerland’s largest mobile artificial ice rink with 4,500 square meters of ice), take a torchlight hike, build an igloo (guest program), or spend the night here. Igloo Village/Parsenn. Ten hiking routes with Fatbike/Pischa, night tobogganing/Schatzalp or snowshoeing are also popular. Ten different toboggan runs, numerous natural ice fields and the famous “Eisweg Engadin” in Sur En. Perfectly groomed trails for cross-country ski enthusiasts through picturesque Engadin villages, and great rides for horse lovers through snow-covered forests – for all levels of riding. Celebrate with us after skiing and relax in the mineral baths of Bogn Engiadina. This and more await you in the Engadin Scuol Zernez resort area.

Whatever sled enthusiasts do, they get their money’s worth in the Jungfrau Ski Area. The area offers 50 kilometers of well-maintained toboggan runs. Away from the hustle and bustle of the slopes, snow walkers can immerse themselves in magical winter landscapes of solemn silence. The area offers 100 kilometers of well-maintained winter hiking trails. At the Grindelwald-First ski area, the two Flying Fox variants First Flieger and First Glider also invite you to experience sudden speed at dizzying heights.

The Les Marécottes ski area, described as an insider tip by professional freeriders Jérémie Heitz and Nicolas Falquet, is also ideal for families. With 28 kilometers of ski slopes, a 1700-meter-high snow garden and a 6-kilometer toboggan run, the winter sports center offers everything a winter heart desires in an authentic, calm and natural environment.

A wide variety of leisure activities await you in the Leukerbad destination. Torrent skiing and winter hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ski tours and sledding in Gemmi or in the village. There’s even more fun in the sports arena with ice skating and much more. After an active day in the snow, relaxation is guaranteed in Leukerbad’s thermal baths. All this awaits you in one place – Leukerbad, your source of happiness.

The 40 kilometers of well-prepared winter hiking trails are ideal for exploring the queen of the mountains on foot. From an easy high-altitude hike or leisurely hike to a scenic two-hour panoramic hike, all options are open to visitors. Away from well-known roads, Rigi is wonderfully quiet. There are inviting restaurants with panoramic terraces or simple pits with firewood to take a break on the way.

Saas-Fee/Saastal is the perfect place for anyone who likes personal challenges. Whether it’s an adventure tour on a glacier, a mountain canyon crossing in the cool Fee Gorge, an adventurous winter with a ferrata, a first ski tour or ice climbing. Those who like to be more relaxed can take the exciting Foxtrail, enjoy the evening fondue in the gondola, go for a winter and snowshoe hike, or sleigh down the mountain at night.

Bobsla is unique in Switzerland. The track sled has been revised again – we now have three vehicles for children as well.

There is so much to experience in Stoos. Ski, snowboard, snowshoe tracks with unique views, airboard tracks for the brave.
