If you missed our initial announcement, here’s the Project Wolf Hunting trailer again:
New Movie #1: “Evil Eye”
Evil Eye is a chilling horror film directed by Isaac Ezban (director of cult sci-fi film The Compares) and follows 13-year-old Nala (Paola Miguel) who moves with her family to live with her grandmother in the countryside. search for a cure for her little sister, who is suffering from a mysterious illness.
During the journey, Nala deals with the legends of her home region – and comes to the conclusion that they probably originate from real events of the past. While trying to protect her sister from evil forces, Nala discovers that her grandmother is not who she says she is…
New Movie #2: “Hit Big”
Finnish director J.-P. Valkeapää in the footsteps of Quentin Tarantino:
Formerly Miss Finland, 60-year-old alcoholic Marjaleena (Outi Mäenpää) now owns a bar on the verge of bankruptcy. When her husband arrives in prison after 20 years, Marjaleena sees her hour coming – because he has hidden millions of dollars for his imprisonment, which his wife now wants to get her hands on…
New Movie #3: “Satan’s Slaves 2”
The ghostly horror Satan’s Slaves was one of the big surprises at Fantasy Filmfest 2017 – and that’s not only because we rarely see genre films from Indonesia, but also because director Joko Anwar has mastered his craft as perfectly as Conjuring mastermind James Wan. Now comes the sequel “Satan’s Slaves 2: Communion”: Four years ago, Rini (Tara Basro) had to see his dead mother come to life and drag his little brother into the world of the undead.
Rini is now 25 and moved to a tiny apartment in the city because he no longer felt safe on the family farm in the countryside. But he’s not safe there either: when a bad storm hits the area, Rini and the rest are suddenly trapped in the apartment – and everyone else seems to have disappeared. Apparently Rini just can’t shake his past – and he’s following an unimaginably sinister plan…
