Netflix megahit “Wednesday”: Tim Burton’s series is so incredibly high in the all-time charts after only 2 weeks (!)

The adventures of the quirky Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) on Nevermore Academy have captivated Netflix audiences around the world. Countless records have already been broken – “Wednesday” has already become the most successful Netflix series in its first week of play, as measured by the (i.e. the number of hours the series has been watched in total).

And after just two weeks, Tim Burton’s series easily tops the all-time charts for English-language series! Netflix lists the watched hours of series after 28 days. “Stranger Things” season 4 is currently in first place with 1.35 billion hours, while “Dahmer – Monster” (still!) is second with 856 million hours. this is progressing “Wednesday” season 1 with 752 million hours and current place 3 now well on the Pelle – and as I said after only two weeks!

In the end, ‘Wednesday’ is in the all-time charts of English-language series after 28 days almost guaranteed 2nd place – at least. Even the top position could eventually be in there. The final figures of the series that started on November 23, 2022 can then be expected in two weeks.

The one billion mark is within reach

It is also quite certain that “Wednesday” will break the one billion watch mark in the first month. And with that, the horror-comedy series finds itself in illustrious company. Only two other series managed to break this milestone in the first four weeks: “Stranger Things” Season 4 as the only English-language series and “Squid Game” Season 1 as the only non-English-language series.

It would be laughable if Netflix wouldn’t order a second season of his latest smash hit. The series expansion is currently pending. “Wednesday” writers Miles Millar and Alfred Gough are already planning beyond Season 2. And let’s face it, with the current “Wednesday” numbers, we wouldn’t be surprised if the series creators around Tim Burton are allowed to do as many seasons as they want!
