The sauna is not a steam bath, the humidity should not exceed 10 percent at 100 degrees. Lying in the sweat room or in a wet swimsuit without drying after a shower increases the humidity and is discourteous to other sauna guests. Also, wet skin delays perspiration.
Golden rules for sauna
- Infusion increases humidity and is allowed only at the end of the sauna session. You should definitely ask your friends who use sauna. Many cannot tolerate heat shock.
- The minimum is two lessons, but no more than three lessons are recommended.
- You should not eat a lot and drink alcohol before the sauna.
- If you want to enter the sauna after working out at the gym, you should only do so when your heart rate is back to normal. The break should be at least 15 minutes.
- During the sauna session, the body loses about half a liter of sweat. however, you should not drink during the courses.
- Basically, it’s better to have a short hot sauna than a long warm one.
- The best posture is lying on your back. The body is in the same temperature zone from head to toe.
- Towards the end of the sauna session, descend into the deeper realms and sit down so that the circulatory system can cope with standing up.
- A warm foot bath is recommended after a shower with cold water. There is still a lot of heat stored in the body. You start sweating and you feel really tired.
- Never shower with shower gel after the last cure, otherwise the skin will become too dry.
