The Deadpool Christmas Movie: A Victim of the Disney Studio Takeover
According to the Marvel star, a “complete Deadpool Christmas movie” was in the works at Fox before Disney finally acquired the studio in 2019 for a whopping $52.4 billion.
“Four years ago Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and I wrote a Christmas movie starring Deadpool,” says Reynolds, “but it got lost in the mess when Disney bought Fox and it never got made.” But Ryan Reynolds didn’t do it. yet gave up all hope and still seems to believe in a belated Christmas miracle: “Maybe one day we’ll make this movie.”
A Christmas movie with Deadpool? Those must have been some wonderful contemplative vacations. Maybe one day this will come straight to Disney+ as a Christmas special or maybe it will hit theaters after all.
