“Scream 6” without Neve Campbell: new lead actress promises a lot of blood, but also a lot of respect

It came as a shock to “Scream” fans when it was announced in June 2022 that Sidney Prescott actress Neve Campbell would no longer be part of “Scream 6” after failed salary negotiations. We will find out by March 30, 2023 at the latest how the absence of the main star of the franchise will affect the upcoming part, because then “Scream 6” should start in German cinemas.

In conversation with Jenna Ortega, the lead actress of “Scream 5” and “Scream 6”, reference to the absence of Neve Campbell: “I guess I can’t say much about it because it’s not my character. But I can say there’s so much going on in ‘Scream 6’, there’s so much action and gore that I think you’ve got enough distractions.”

Unlike its five predecessors, “Scream 6” is no longer set in the sleepy town of Woodsboro, but in New York City, which is likely to be quite disturbing. While only Courtney Cox of the original cast is still part of the party, Hayden Panettiere from “Scream 4” can join in too.
