Shock to all fans of “Fate: The Winx Saga”: Netflix cancels fantasy series after season 2!

The second season of the popular fantasy series “Fate: The Winx Saga” only started on Netflix on September 16. The seven-episode season, which fans of the format casually browsed over the weekend, ended with some very interesting revelations, but also left many unanswered questions. These should really be answered in season 3, for which creator and showrunner Brian Young already had clear goals in mind.

But that doesn’t work, because as Brian Young has now announced via his Instagram profile, “Fate: The Winx Saga” has been canceled by Netflix after two seasons. Young writes: “This is not happy news, but Netflix has decided not to produce a third season of ‘Fate: The Winx Saga’. This is especially difficult because I know how much you have loved this season.”

While Netflix has never leaked that a third season of Fate: The Winx Saga is a foregone conclusion, shock the resignation is anyway. Since the second season is more than clearly designed to be continued, those involved in the series naturally counted on it. Not least because the fantasy saga brought with it a strong fan base and managed to claim the top spot in the internal Netflix series top 10 in most countries.

The fact that Netflix stops series is not at all unusual (and therefore all the more threatening for all fans of different formats). For example, it was announced in August that the vampire-young-adult romance “First Kill” would not be renewed for a second season. Also “On The Verge” by and with Julie Delphy was quietly cancelled. Recently, Netflix even killed a series in mid-production! You can learn more about it here:
