Having sex for the first time at the age of 35: Hollywood star talks about sensitive subject

When celebrities talk about juicy details from their private lives, it’s usually in their memoirs. Whether it’s Britney Spears, Prince Harry or Paris Hilton, they all used their books to provide deep insights into their lives so far.

Now there is another book coming out in this category. In it, a Hollywood actress reveals intimate details of her life and surprises with a very personal revelation.

Actress Rebel Wilson wants to encourage other women with her opennesswho may have been in a similar situation and therefore speaks very directly about a subject that is still taboo for many.

Rebel Wilson has been engaged to Ramona Agruma since 2023, and the two became parents in 2022 with the help of a surrogate mother. A lot has happened in the ‘Pitch Perfect’ star’s life in recent years. Reason enough to write a book about it. In ‘Rebel Rising’ she talks not only about her family and her career, but also about the self-doubt that has shaped her entire life.

She also reveals private information that others would likely be less open about. She now told ‘People’ that she lost her virginity at the age of 35 – an age that many people consider quite late.

“At one point I think I said to my best friend, ‘Oh yeah, I just did it to get it done.’ I was about 23 at the time. Just because I wanted to avoid questions,” she told the magazine. She added:

She describes herself as a ‘late bloomer’, that is, someone who discovered her sexuality later in life. It was only after her father’s death that she started thinking about marriage and became more open to the concept.

In the interview, Rebel gave a very specific reason why she is now dealing so aggressively with the subject. She wants to encourage people that “not everyone has to lose their virginity as a teenager.” Rather, she thinks: “People can wait until they are this mature or a bit more mature.”

Rebel now wants to sell her story as a “positive message”. “Of course you don’t have to wait until you’re in your thirties like I did, but as a young person you shouldn’t feel pressured either.”she told the magazine.

Another area where Rebel was more of a late bloomer is her sexual orientation. “It’s absolutely incredible. If I had been born twenty years later, I would have discovered my sexuality even more. I know I was attracted to men and that was normal,” she explained.

She also had a rather negative attitude towards the subject of marriage and saw it as a “waste of time”. “Just years later I met women and developed feelings for a woman.” She is very happy with Ramona today.
