“My wife wants to give our child a completely stupid name!”

Hey tame!

The following: My wife wrote down completely absurd name suggestions for our child during the first weeks of pregnancy. Really thought provoking names. All English words that she just thinks are ‘cool’ or ‘beautiful’. It said things like Umbrella. As a first name. I do not make a joke!!! She said: “Say it a few times, it sounds nice. Amberellaaa» ……. But I was still naive and stupid and thought it was just the hormones and she had been surfing these weird pregnancy social media sites for too long. It will be fine, I thought!

Wrong thought.

Slowly but surely we are approaching the end of the pregnancy and we can’t agree on a name yet! Her “normal” names, which she chose especially for me, are still completely crazy. Just planet names. As a middle name, something Latin that she thinks still sounds nice, although it probably just means yogurt when translated!

I’m really starting to don’t know what to do anymore.

I don’t want to be the father of Nova Yogurt Saturn.

Do you have any idea what I can do? Otherwise the child remains nameless.

… Unnamed – I’m sure she thinks that’s cool too!

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to name our child Vreni or Hannelore either, but something that doesn’t sound like an influencer child would be nice. We’re really not rich enough to let our child have such a stupid name.
