American actress Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied divorced after almost 12 years of marriage.
The former couple was separated for several months after the alleged affair French choreographeraccording to US media reports.
Portman (42) and Millepied (46) met in 2010 when he she was in charge of the choreography in the film ‘Black Swan’, in which the actress played a dancer in the New York City Ballet.
With this film, Portman won an Oscar and a Golden Globe as the best actress.
The former couple, who got married in California 11 years ago and eight months, has two children, Aleph Millepied Portman, 12, and Amalia, 7.
In May of last year, the media circulated information about Millepied’s alleged extramarital affair, and two months later the couple filed for divorce before a court in France.
Portman is currently working on a movie “Fountain of Youth”directed by Guy Ritchie, and in the future has the main role in the television series ‘Lady in the Lake’.
Last year, Portman starred in ‘May December’ alongside Julianne Moore and Charles Melton, a role that earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress.
Millepied was the choreographer on the film ‘Dina: Part Two’, and made his directorial debut with the film ‘Carmen’, a musical drama starring Melissa Barrera and Paul Mescal.
