73 (!) Million dollars: This actor earned more than anyone else in 2023

The business magazine is published like every year A list of the highest-earning actresses and actors from the previous year will also be published in 2024. Recent frontrunners such as Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Gosling did not reach the top of the rankings this time, but there are of course still many celebrities in the top 10.

Interestingly, while the throne is being seized by an actor whose film has yet to be released in theaters until 2023, the first of unfortunately only two women on the list comes in second place.

No one deserves more than Adam Sandler

Comedian, actor and producer Adam Sandler has been one of the top earners in Hollywood for decades – and made his competition look pretty old last year. Sandler earned a whopping $73 million in 2023 without appearing in a single film and only thanks to his lucrative Netflix deal.

While he has recently been featured exclusively on the streaming platform in the space adventure “Spaceman: A Short History of Bohemian Space Travel”, last year he also gave us the coming-of-age film “You’re Something Not Invited to my bat mitzvah” and the crime thriller “Murder Mystery 2” alongside Jennifer Aniston – who, by the way, is in sixth place with $42 million -List lands.

“Barbie” star Margot Robbie earned an impressive $59 million last year, putting it in second place on the rankings. This also means they have big-name competitors like “Mission: Impossible” star Tom Cruise ($45 million, 3rd place), Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio and action warhorse Jason Statham ($41 million each, 7th place), her co-star star Ryan Gosling ($43 million, 4th place) and Denzel Washington ($24 million, 10th place).

Also on board: the two good friends and long-time acting and producing partners Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, who earned particularly well with their adaptation of the extraordinary Air Jordan origin story, “Air – The Big Thing”. While Affleck is in 9th place with $38 million, Damon received a whopping $43 million in 2023 – after all, he received a share of the profits from the billion-dollar hit for his participation in Christopher Nolan’s Oscar contender ‘Oppenheimer’. Damon shares fourth place with Ryan Gosling.
