“Stranger Things: Shadow World” is one cooperative board game, based on the first two seasons of the Netflix series. You work together to find and rescue Will. To do this, you’ll need to visit known locations in Hawkins and gather information to track down your friend. Later you of course end up in the shadow world, where you have to deal with the all-powerful Demogorgon.

In the beginning you slide into the role a well-known series character. The choices include Joyce Byers, Jim Hopper, Nancy Wheeler, Eleven, Mike Wheeler and Dustin Henderson. During your search for Will, you will be accompanied by many supporting characters who will equip you with new skills or fight for you.

This is particularly interesting “Push Your Luck” mechanism: To obtain information or win battles, small stacks of tiles must be revealed. Each additional tile revealed can help you immensely, but can also have fatal consequences for your mental health. Because if the fear becomes too great, you lose the game.
