‘Tumbadores’ participated in the Ibero American Film Festival in Miami

The Panamanian film “Tumbadores” continues to give what people are talking about, this time with its participation in the sixth edition of the Ibero American Film Festival Miami (IAFFM).

At this festival, 35 feature films from eight countries, animated films and documentaries were shown. IAFFM ends today, Saturday.

“Tumbadores”, he acts Mary Gaby Sealythe film directed by the Panamanian María Isabel Burning, was one of them.

Mari Gaby attended the IAFFM in clothes by local designer Jean Decort, and at the end of the film screening she addressed the audience.

The actress talked about her experience as a protagonist as well as what is done in Panama in terms of film.

Since 2016, IAFFM has as its main objective the dissemination of cinematography, culture, tradition and art in order to strengthen the community between Ibero-American countries and the projection of Latin American talent in the United States and the world.

‘Tumbadores’

The film is about Manuela (Marie Gaby Sealy) a drug dealer’s daughter who plans a coup against the cartel her own father works for, sparking a war between narcos and tumbadors. A powerful story that, beyond the purpose of the protagonist, has the effect of empowering women.

The film has already left theaters in Panama after 30 days of being available to the public.

“Tumbadores” is the winner of the 2020 Panama Film Fund competition in the category of development and production, and was also made thanks to the funds of the Ibermedia program.
