The Samsung HW-Q995GC The quality is damn close to a high-quality surround system. When it comes to soundbars, there’s virtually nothing better. And now the soundbar is available for an incredible new lowest price.

At the lowest price
How deep? The HW-Q995GC costs as part of the VAT campaign at MediaMarkt and Saturn* only 798.31 euros. That alone would be a new record low. Samsung also gives you another 100 euros cashback, which increases the price an incredible 698.31 euros press.
Both at Hifi.de as well as at Computer image takes up the Samsung soundbar Top positions in the rankings of all tested soundbars. In Hifi it comes first, in Computerbild it is only surpassed by the Beosound Theater, which costs about 9,000 euros.
Samsung HW-Q995GC: the real premium soundbar
The highlight of the Samsung soundbar is the excellent surround sound. A total of 22 speakers are built into the bar and the effect speakers. This is how it is made a full-fledged 11.1.4 sound system in a compact form, which supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Sound effects come from all sides and provide an immersive movie experience.
Four small speakers are integrated on the sides of the soundbar, which radiate the sound to the sides. This is created in combination with the effect speakers a comprehensive all-round sound. There are also the upward-facing speakers in the soundbar and the effect speakers that throw the sound towards the ceiling, from where it rains down on you. This is how the spatial sound is created a real cinema experience already very close.
This requires the effect speakers and the subwoofer no cable connection to the sound bar. A nearby socket is sufficient. The soundbar itself is only seven centimeters high and 123 centimeters wide, meaning it fits under or in front of most televisions.
Wireless connection to a Samsung TV
The Samsung HW-Q995GC also offers sufficient connections. An HDMI connection allows daisy chaining including eARC Dolby Atmos signals shipped without loss. Two additional HDMI inputs are also available. However, these do not support 120 Hz and are therefore less suitable for game consoles. Bluetooth and WLAN for music streaming are of course also on board.
The soundbar is also exciting for anyone who already has a Samsung television. With Q-Symphony, the TV speakers can be converted into center speakers for even more sound. Some Samsung TVs even support one wireless connection to the soundbar including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
The only point of criticism is the somewhat careless choice of materials and the unusable display Samsung HW-Q995GC*, which can only display three characters at a time. Here you can easily access the app and make detailed settings. Otherwise you get one Absolute premium soundbar with brilliant surround soundwhich is a real alternative to a large sound system due to the fair price.
The best alternative to the Samsung soundbar
An alternative to the Samsung HW-Q995GC is the Samsung HW-Q935GC for currently 588.23 euros at MediaMarkt and Saturn*.
Samsung HW-Q935GC at MediaMarkt*
The HW-Q935GC is in third place in the aforementioned Hifi.de best list behind the HW-Q995GC and its predecessor HW-Q995B. You can get one here even better value for money, because the smaller Samsung soundbar also impresses with great 3D sound and easy installation. Ultimately, the Q995GC is slightly better than its little sister in terms of sound and quality.
