After “Friday the 13th”: Will this legendary horror series soon send its killer into space?

The ‘Chucky’ series just can’t be killed. Over the course of her bloodthirsty career, the murderous doll has caused fear and terror in a nursing home, a military school, the White House and a mental institution. So you can rightly say that the red-haired rascal is really getting by. But there’s one place Chucky hasn’t traveled yet: space. Fans have wanted a cosmic entry in the murderous toy’s filmography for years.

Series creator and screenwriter Don Mancini, who has shaped Chucky’s fate since his first cinematic outing in 1988, has now responded to fans’ astronomical wishes:

“Everyone asks me that question! So MY question is: ‘Do you want him to go into space? Do you personally want it to fly? If there is enough demand for it, at some point – I don’t know how soon – I will have an idea for it.”

It definitely sounds like Don Mancini is taking his fans’ wishes seriously. However, the franchise creator hasn’t yet revealed whether Chucky’s space adventure would be part of the current series or if we might get to experience the weightless kills on the big screen – mainly because it was just a set idea until now.
