20 years later: this is what the “MusicStar” candidates look like today

20 years (OMG, we’re old.) after the first season of the Swiss casting show, “MusicStar” is celebrating a comeback – at least a small one. In the form of a show, eight former candidates from all seasons will compete against each other on stage.

The show features: Baschi, Fabienne Louves, Carmen Fenk, Salome Clausen, Katharina Michel, Daniel Kandlbauer, Börni Höhn and Leo Ritzmann. The winner can donate the prize money of 100,000 francs to charity.

Time for a little taste: Everyone is still more or less active in the musical field today, but appearance has changed a lot. Do you recognize the casting stars from back then?

MusicStar's Chris Von Rohr then and now
Surprise

Still the same? Let’s hope the show gets more exciting.

We will see what else the former candidates are up to in their lives today and how well they actually (still) sing on March 30, 2024.at 8:10 PM on SRF 1. Moderated – of course – by Sven Epiney and Viola Tami.

The big stars are also at the jury table: Just like in the second season, this year Chris von Rohr, Arabella Kiesbauer and Detlef “D!” Soost assesses the performances of the artists.
