Pop superstar Taylor Swift will release a new album in April. “I’ll tell you a secret I’ve been hiding from you for the past two years. My brand new album will be released on April 19th. It’s called ‘The Torted Poets Department,'” Swift said on Sunday evening (local time) at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. Shortly before, the 34-year-old had won one of the coveted music awards in the Best Pop Vocal Album category for her current record ‘Midnights’.
‘The Torted Poets Department’ in German means something like ‘The Torted Poets Department’. The cover, which Swift published online at the same time, features a black and white photo of a woman lying on a bed and a sheet of paper with a text.
The Grammys will be awarded for the 66th time this year. Approximately 13,000 members of the Recording Academy determine the winners of the Golden Gramophones, which are among the most coveted music awards in the world and are awarded in 94 categories. (sda/dpa)
