In 2024, Netflix will again have many brand new titles with a lot of star power and sequels to popular hits in store. The streaming service is now giving a taste of this with an annual preview briefly presenting some of the biggest highlights of the year. Some of them have already received their own trailer, others were shown moving images for the first time.
Netflix deliberately saved one of the most anticipated titles for the end of the clip: In 2024, after three years, the most successful Netflix series of all will finally be continued. We are of course talking about the Korean phenomenon”Squid game“.
The first photos of “Squid Game” season 2
The first mini-teaser for the new episodes, due later this year, shows that despite the long wait, Season 2 will apparently pick up right at the end of Season 1. For example, we see Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) again with red dyed hair at the airport. After receiving an ominous phone call in the season finale, the ominous threatening phone call in the Netflix trailer now suggests that the treacherous games are not over for the man who has been through hell.
This also seems to be confirmed by the first scenes that Netflix released alongside its XXL trailer, offering some more insights into the sequel to ‘Squid Game’ (in which Seong Gi-hun can be seen again without red hair):
